As a Team Parent you are playing an important role in the successful season of your child’s team. A team parent helps to keep the “administrative” part of each team organized so that the coaches and kids can focus on learning and having a great season.
Being a Team Parent means being the “go to” person for the parents when they have questions and need information, as well as being the parent that receives the information from the league to distribute to your team. Any parent can fill this position and the coaches are so appreciative of this help.
Some of the duties of a Team Parent are:
~Assist the coach in handing out forms to the parents.
~Making a snack schedule (should your team decide to do this).
~Handing out information on fundraising, Mariner’s game and concession schedule shifts.
~Collecting and turning in fundraiser money as a team.
~Organizing the team trophies/coaches gift and end of season party (should your team decide to do this).
