NEW CHANGE FOR 2010 SEASON: NEW GIRLS SENIORS DIVISION (AGE 13-16)!! Scroll down below for more details.

Last year, a big change was  made in our boys and girls minor's divisions. Girls ages 7 & 8 will play with the boys in a

Prep Division. This will help girls in their transition from t-ball to softball.  

  **LEAGUE AGE FOR ALL BOYS: AGE ON 5/1/2010 --- LEAGUE AGE FOR ALL GIRLS: AGE ON 1/1/2010

 

Washington State Law requires every Parent & Athlete read and sign the Concussion Law form. Click on link to print out form if you did not get one at registration. PDF format/Concussion Law

Sequim Little League Fees 

T-Ball : $45.00 All Other Divisions : $75.00 Cap : $180.00 

 

BOYS  

MAJOR DIVISION
*(9-12)
 
Must be drafted onto a team 
Must attend 1 of the 2 skill assessment tryouts in order to be eligible to be drafted
 onto a  Major's team.
*All 12 year olds will play on a Major's Team

Game Times: 6:00 pm weekdays / games begin at 10:00 am on Saturdays (10:00, 

   1pm,4pm) *times may change for travel games

 *(Based on player's skill level, a written waiver with Local & District approval is required for 12 year
    olds to play in the Minor Division)

Minor Division

 *(9-11)

 

Not required to tryout but if you want to be considered for the Major's Division, you must attend 1 of the 2 skill assessment tryouts.

Players pitch

Games Times: 5:30 pm weekdays/ first game begins at 10:00 am on Saturdays (10, 1 & 4)

 *(Based on player's skill level, a written waiver with Local & District approval is required for 12 year olds to

    play in the Minor Division)

* With player agent approval, 8 year olds may go to a skill assessment if they think they are ready to “move up” to minors

    and  depending on their skill level, 9 year olds may remain in prep division.

Co-Ed

League Age Deadlines: Boys-Age on 5/1/2010

                                     Girls-Age on 1/1/2010

Kids play on front fields at entrance to Sequim Little League (There are 4 backstops)

No score will be kept.

Game Times: 5:30 pm weekdays/11:00 am Saturdays                     

Game length: 4 innings or 1 1/2 hours whichever comes first.

Every player plays entire game (everyone bats and plays outfield)

No strike outs

 

  GIRLS

 

SENIOR DIVISION

(13-16)

NewDivision

Must be drafted onto a team

Must attend skill assessment tryout on Wednesday, February 17th from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm in order to be eligible to be drafted onto a Senior's team.

Game Times: 6:00 pm weekdays / home games begin between 11:00 - 2:00 pm (approx.)

 *times may change for travel games  

 

 

 MAJOR DIVISION

(9-12) 

 

 

Must be drafted onto a team

Must attend 1 of the 2 skill assessment tryouts in order to be eligible to be drafted onto

a Major's team.

HOME TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Home Team

1. Occupy 3rd base dugout.

2. Prepare field for game. 

    A. Chalk lines - put machine away 

        immediately.

    B. Drag and rake field.

    C. Set up pitching machine. (Prep Division)

3. Prep Minors provide home plate umpire.

4. Assign official scorekeeper who will be

    responsible for MANDATORY PITCH COUNT.

    Verify pich count with home plate umpire

    and visitor's scorekeeper at end of game.

    Remember to count foul balls (Upper Minors

     and Majors only)

5. Check out scoreboard module at concession

    stand. Assign operator and return after game.

6. Clean dugout and empty garbage at the end

    of each game.

7. Return official pitch count form to the

    concession stand bulletin board at end of

    game.

 

 

VISITING TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Visiting Team
1. Occupy 1st base dugout.
2. Prep Minors provide field umpire.
3. At the end of the game, drag and rake field
    and put away pitching machine.
4. Clean dugout and empty garbage at the end
    of each game.
5. Tally pitch count. Verify with home plate
    umpire and home scorekeeper at the end of
    each game.
